A proposed modification to the NEMO Workforce Development Board’s (NEMO WDB) local plan for the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) will be available for review for thirty days beginning May 21, 2017. Interested parties may review the proposed modification at the NEMO Workforce Development Board Administrative Office, located at 111 East Monroe in Paris, Missouri, or by accessing the website www.nemowib.org under Public Notice.
The purpose of this modification is as follows:
- Revision of following Sections and Attachments of the Board’s Local Plan for Title I of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA):
- ~Attachment 13: Planning Budget Summaries for Program Year 2016 and Fiscal Year 2017 to transfer money from Dislocated Worker to Adult.
- Section 11,D: Adding a paragraph to include the use of the Comprehensive Adult Student Assessment (CASAS) for basic skills assessment.
- Section 11,E(2): Adding a paragraph on sector strategies identifying the top sectors in the Northeast Region as determined by Maher and Maher.
The Northeast Region is comprised of the following 16 county area: Adair, Clark, Knox, Lewis, Lincoln, Macon, Marion, Monroe, Montgomery, Pike, Ralls, Randolph, Schuyler, Scotland, Shelby and Warren.
